Tour The Crane in Extremadura

This tour will guide us to the preferred hibernation
places of the European cranes. Extremadura receives 70
% of the population which hibernate here because of the
ideal living conditions for this bird.
Accommodation in an ancient convent (16th century) and now a restored hotel where
the bird of the region nest at the copulas as a sign of sustainable development.
Itinerary
Day 1. Pick up at airport and transfer to the hotel
Time to get to know the hotel’s surroundings. Dinner.
 Cranes
Day 2. Guided trip at the Llanos de Brozas which extend
to the dehesas close to the Sierra de San Pedro with about
2400 cranes. Picnic lunch in the dehesa which
stands out because of its conservation as
well as being a refuge for cranes. You can also observe species like shrikes,
hoopoes, great and little bustards and the black-bellied sandgrouse. Return to
the hotel and dinner.
Day 3. Breakfast. Guided trip to the plains of Zorita
and Vegas Altas to observe steppe birds, we continue the
tour to Madrigalejo where hibernate about 6000 cranes.
Return to the hotel and dinner.

Cranes
Day 4. Breakfast. Guided trip to the dehesas and the National
Park Monfragüe with imperial
eagle, black vulture and griffon vulture and the dehesas of Talavan. In these
regions hibernates a population of 3500 cranes. Return to the hotel and dinner.
Day 5. Breakfast and transfer to airport.
